This LVN program lasts 12 months and includes 1000 hours of clinical skills practice and 600 hours of theory. The Licensed Vocational Nurse program at Summit College can be completed in 12 months (full-time daytime) or 18 months (part-time evenings and weekends). Required coursework to complete this program includes Maternity Nursing, Nutrition, Psychology, Medical Surgical Nursing, Rehabilitation Nursing, Nursing Fundamentals, Communication, Gerontological Nursing, and Nursing Process. All coursework is taught by highly trained and well-qualified faculty members in a classroom setting and in a clinical lab.
