Nurse Assistant Training Curriculum

The course outline takes about five weeks. The training curriculum includes both clinical and classroom instruction; the students are taught how to administer quick yet suitable and highly effective nursing assistant duties and roles. Many training programs offer both daytime and evening class schedules.

How to Become a CNA in Tennessee

Can I Transfer My CNA License to Tennessee?

If you are a certified nursing assistant from another state and have just moved to Tennessee you can apply to the Nursing Aide Registry in Tennessee for what is called “reciprocity”. As long as you can provide verification that you completed a state approved CNA certification program, are currently certified in another state, and have worked as a CNA recently. You would not need to take the Tennessee exam or training if you are granted reciprocity. CNA licenses usually need to be renewed every two years.

How Much Does CNA Training Cost? How Long Does it Take?

Shorter programs usually require longer hours per each class session. A program with evening classes can cost around $890 which includes tuition cost, the CNA state exam fee, the use of medical facilities, textbooks and the CPR training.
