• Take the National League for Nursing Pre-Admission Examination-RN and pass the test with percentiles of 50 or greater in the “All” category in each of the three areas tested: Math, Science and Verbal Ability. You are permitted to take this exam once in any six month period.
• Two professional references are also needed, and they should be work or education related only.

Other requirements include a report on current physical condition, the need to maintain personal health insurance, and documentation of Hepatitis B vaccinations. You may also sign and submit a waiver to the college where you will be taking your courses.

Some of the academic classes you will take over this two year period include:

• Nursing I
• Nursing II
• Introduction to Psychology
• Human Growth and Development

After completing the two year associates degree nursing program, the student also has the opportunity to complete an advanced Bachelor of Science in nursing degree track. If the student is looking to expand on their knowledge and also extend their employment opportunities in the healthcare field then this is the perfect way to do so. This is an accelerated course of study and the requirements to admission of this course include:

• Applicants must maintain a 3.0 grade-point average.
• Proof of certification in cardio pulmonary resuscitation of healthcare providers.
• Degree requirements entail 124-140 credits.

Some of the academic course you will be required to take include Health in Society, Evidence-Based Practice, Legal and Ethical Foundations, Human Anatomy, Physiology 1, and Intro to Professional Nursing.
