Nurse aides (commonly referred to as CNAs) fill important roles in many different types of medical facilities, including hospitals, private doctors offices, long-term care facilities, assisted living centers, hospice treatment centers and nursing homes. Since the education and training requirements to become a CNA can be completed in under 3 months and usually cost less than $1000 the CNA is a very accessible entry-level health care position.
