Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in Louisiana are in great demand at hospitals, private nursing homes and long-term care facilities. Hence, many students prefer to take up CNA training right after their high school graduation. Following the completion of the training program, you must pass a test so that you can receive your CNA certification.
At the end of the program, you must be prepared to take the CNA test at any one of the test locations that is approved by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing. The skills portion of the test will be comprised of five skills as well as a physical demonstration on a volunteer. You will also have to answer a number of multiple choice questions in the written part of the examination. Once you pass the test, you can apply to have your name included on the Louisiana Nurse Aide Registry.
