RN Programs in Delaware There are a number of RN programs in each state in this country. Even though Delaware is a small state, it is no exception to this rule. There are 3 major hospitals located in the state which provide hundreds of nursing jobs. Someone looking for a job as a nurse in Delaware should have little difficulty finding employment within the State, or in nearby metro regions. One of the academic institutions that is located in Delaware and has an excellent reputation is the Beebe School of Nursing. They have over 80 years of experience and their students consistently achieve excellent results on the NCLEX board exam. Beebe also allows individuals to take courses at their physical location in Lewes, or through the Delaware Community and Technical College. There are may reasons to choose this school if you reside in Delaware. This school even trains nurses for Johns Hopkins, which is one of the premier hospitals in the country. Delaware State University is another possibility for those who are considering a career as an RN. This University allows students to fulfill RN pre-licensing education requirements through their nursing program and also earn a BSN degree. Since many states require a BSN this could be one of the more viable options. The University also offers a a Masters of Science in Nursing program in addition to the RN program. They offer a very comprehensive nurse training program. It is really up to the individual to investigate the various programs depending on what sort of nursing curriculum they prefer and what sort of preparation they have for the program. The Program at Beebe requires that their incoming students have an Associates degree in nursing. One can find out more specific information about the schools in question, by contacting School of Nursing in the particular program they are considering to see what sort of coursework and pre-requisites are required. Nursing is a valuable profession and there is an ongoing need for professionally trained nurses. It a specialty that is going to be with us for some time to come. The Delaware Professional Regulation Division has a Board of Nursing that is responsible for oversight of nursing licensure and nursing education programs in the state of Delaware. Nursing programs are organized by the type of degree awarded upon completion. There is currently one approved two-year Diploma program in Delaware that satisfies RN pre-licensure education requirements. There are also a few two-year Associates degree programs and four-year Bachelor degree programs. These Delaware RN programs prepare students to challenge the NCLEX-RN exam and become a licensed registered nurse in the state of Delaware.
