Complete CNA certification training in 3 months to become a licensed nursing assistant

Many of those who are searching for a challenging medical career with few barriers to entry will find themselves considering the option of becoming a CNA. Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) play a large role in the delivery of basic health care to patients in hospitals, nursing homes and various treatment centers. Working as a nursing assistant can be extremely satisfying and rewarding for people who enjoy caring for others and working directly with people. Successful nursing assistants will receive gratitude and appreciation from many of the patients they help.

The duties of a CNA are always under the general supervision of a qualified registered nurse or licensed physician. In many cases, the CNA receives their instruction and task assignments from their supervising nurse or doctor. Primary CNA duties involve providing basic care and monitoring of patients, including assistance with feeding, toileting, bathing, dressing and mobility.

The supervising nurse may also direct the CNA to help with observational tasks and care documentation for patients. These types of duties include monitoring food intake, tracking the progression of diseases and/or conditions, measuring and recording effects of medications, recording daily vital signs. Working as a CNA provides an excellent foundation for other nursing career pursuits.
